Dubai Police will soon finish in installing radars every two kilometres on the roads to deter speeding and reckless motorists, a senior police official said.
According from Gulfnews the Dubai traffic department had installed the new radars’ beams on different roads such as, 30 radars on Shaikh Zayed Road, 22 radars on Dubai-Al Ain Road, 17 radars on Dubai-Hatta Road, 10 radars on Emirates Road, six radars on Al Khail Road and five radars on Business Bay Bridge. With this State of the art and with a features of new technology according to Lieutenant Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Acting Director of Dubai Police’s Traffic Department these new digital radars are highly advanced and can distinguish between light and heavy vehicles they can catch offences from both sides and the speed limits, on which they flash, can be controlled from the centre of the department.

Speed Safety System (SSS)
For stationary use, the system is installed in a cabinet mounted on a pole. The cabinets are made for all weather conditions and can be delivered with heaters and fans or air conditioning. All units in the system are modular and rack-mounted for easy inter-changeability.
